MK I Templar Pattern-

The first armour ever issued to Imperial Knights. This armor is a ubiquitous and enduring symbol of their order. The armor is a masterpiece of enduring defense and lightning fast mobility. And a prized asset to the legions that field it. One might call it overengineered however, for the advanced nature of the armor and the great relative expense of its forging makes it a challenge to mass produce. Templar pattern power armor is becoming an increasingly rare sight in the Modern Empire. As the complex and difficult to mass produce pattern is slowly phased out in favor of newer, simpler armor designs.

Mk I Templar is most often fielded by those legions concentrated around the Empire's core worlds. Where the difficulties of production and repair are far less of a concern in most cases due to shortened supply lines. Allowing these legions to deploy the armor in significant numbers. The pattern is best suited for aggressive forward assaults. Coordinated fireteams quickly bearing down on enemy positions and ruthlessly and accurately eliminating them.
