Commission for featuring Tails and Nicole in a rather perilous situation. Does this remind you of a certain movie?
This was an interesting commish because Wankers-Cramp was rather ambiguous on the details. He just said he wanted Tails protecting Nicole from harm, so I suggested to him an old unused idea. Years ago I wanted to make a Mega Man Zero pic with Ciel hiding Alouette from Trestista Kelverian and his hounds. I never got around to drawing that, but I figured I could recycle that context with Tails and Nicole being hunted by Metal Madness and two Dragodons (those monitor lizards from Sonic Chronicles). Just pray they're not discovered. Where's Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum when you need 'em?

Uh... I don't see how Tails' legs are more 'realistic' than the way they're usually drawn. As for Nicole, some Archie artists give her and Sally a bit more muscle tone in keeping with their classic look. Take a look at how Evan Stanley draws them in Sonic #257 for example.

It's hard to take the threat against Nicole seriously, considering she's a hologram. Poor Tails though.

As Wankers-Cramp said, Nicole can still be destroyed. I would have liked to draw her handheld in her lap to convey the physical threat against her, but the tight space she's in prevented that.

Dude this looks amazing! I love it. Can't help but get some real Jurassic Park vibes, let's be honest, dinosaurs are cool but robot dinosaurs are better. You draw the characters so well, they really do look scared. But I'm sure they will get out of it, they always do.
I love the dark colouring and the details. As if having horrible lizard things to worry about isn't enough you have to worry about a giant evil dino-robot outside. I really do love this couple and you have done them justice.
