Description
This is a concept piece I did for Revelation 19, depicting in some way (which will always be inferior) the arrival of Jesus in the clouds. From 19 in particular, he appears on a white horse with the "host of heaven" prepared for battle, yet already covered in blood, ie: his own blood. It also mentions crowns on his head, so rather than piling a bunch of hats, I thought representative "crowns" suggesting his authority over all human kingdoms (which is the point anyway) would be the way to go. The "battle" if you can call it that, is over before it starts because he ends the battle with his words (a sword from the mouth). Anyway, I wanted the clouds to be interesting, not just fluff so I tried to give them a bit of personality. It's a very hard concept to try to depict, but this was my take on the subject!
