| HISTORY |
Olivia grew up as the youngest child of a middle-class family in a Castelia City apartment complex. She grew up surrounded by other kids in the apartments but only ever really got along with a few of the older children. She had very little interest in making friends, and tended to spend the majority of her time alone in her room tinkering with machines and computers. She excelled in academics and would often be asked by classmates for help on homework. Which she would decline, she’d rather be left alone. Most classmates gave up requesting help, but a few of the more persistent ones would pester her until she would make aggravated comments to get them to leave her alone. Unfortunately this gave her a bit of a reputation around the schoolyard as being a bully.
When Olivia turned 18 she was presented two options, begin training Pokemon or continue education. She had little interest in taking care of her own Pokemon at the time and would rather continue her studies in machinery. She started attending the local college with a focus on electronic technology and a minor in computer science. But over time she began noticing the working Pokemon around campus and how they were so much more efficient at physical jobs than humans and even some machines. Her interest in Pokemon was sparked and she was inspired to study how they’re power grew so rapidly over time. Her focus went from studying mechanical solutions for problems to the power of Pokemon and how to enhance it. However, she still had no interest in actually owning a Pokemon of her own.
Two years into her studies she received a strange email regarding something called the ‘Shadow Virus’. She had heard a bit about it on the news, about how the affected Pokemon would have violent outbursts and were stronger during said outbursts. She curiously inquired further. The contact introduced themselves as a recruiter of Team Zephyr, and had taken notice of her work at the college on a recent visit. The recruiter offered details about a potential field research position in regards to the Shadow Virus. The job was simple: raise Pokemon afflicted with the virus and document findings. Olivia accepted. A few weeks later she left for the Issho Region for a ‘student exchange program’....

Original design of this character is over ten years old, the original setting she was designed for was 'post-apocalyptic wasteland'. The only thing that was actually updated in her design for this was her boots! Everything else, including color pallet is original from my high school days!
