You may find it faster/smoother to download the file to your desktop and play it in your browser.

Also, be sure to check out my Prints II Windows XP FTP Tutorial to learn how to upload via FTP.

In November, 2006 deviantART Prints II was launched. The most important change is the addition of the Standard Print Account, available now to all deviants free of charge. That's right, every single one of the 3.5+ million members of deviantART now has a free Standard Print Account. This tutorial will show you how you can easily make your work available for free to the entire world in a variety of sizes, finishes, and products.

This tutorial is far from perfect but I'm far from being a professional speaker so it all works out. This is all one take so bear with my bumbling.

Things I missed

• Crop nodes. The nodes on the corners and sides of your preview in the Adjust Image tool will allow you to do a custom crop on your work, rather than just relying on the Scale tool and default crop/matte options. Be sure to play with these settings until you get the look you desire.

• Canvas prints. Using the matte feature will ensure your image is not wrapped around the wooden frame used for canvas prints.

• FTP uploads are now synced with the File Deck.

If you notice anything else I've missed that you feel is significant, please let me know. An updated version is in the works.

All I can say is... HOLY COW!!! It was worth waiting for the Flash to finish loading... looks like a whole shedload of tech has been injected into Prints II, and the fact that you can now do virtually all the work of preparing the prints on one page is just flippin' awesome! I shall definitely be looking into revamping my prints and submitting news one in the New Year. Give yourselves and the IT guys a big pat on the back.

Thank you for putting this together, I found it to be very helpful and it has pretty much convinced me to bring my artwork back to dA and make available for print. The Prints II service, from what you describe seems much more appealing than the previous incarnation. Do you know if there were any updates to wish list functionality?

Thanks Vince. I'm glad it was helpful.

There are no updates to the wishlist system yet but I'm pretty sure it's in the works. Increased functionality is something we all want to see too.

I've been trying to figure out a way to add one with the software I have but I've been unsuccessful.

this is flash right ?
making a flash preloader isn't that hard..

This might help..

( and if not.. I'm willing to look into it )

It's flash but it's created using Camtasia Studio. I don't see an option to add a preloader to the SWF, only to the packaged video (it adds a preloader as a separate SWF and links them together somehow).

shall I make a preloader for you ?

That would be awesome! I hope it's not too difficult. I don't have an FLA file to work with. Does that make a difference?
