“Handprints”
This is my grade 11 art class’s final assignment that i finished just recently! The topic was social issues, and we could choose any issue and medium to work with.
The issue that i chose was Child Sex Trafficking
Two children are sold every 60 seconds. That was more than enough of a reason to paint this. I’ve always been involved and interested in this issue and my mind was already set from the moment my teacher mentioned that we had the choice of picking any social issue in the world.
and yeah, NOW ITS EXAM WEEK YEYYY did 2 exams today -3-

yeah..there are estimates of 4 Million individuals who are trafficked every year. Over 71% of the trafficked children show suicidal tendencies. i learned quite alot when i researched the issue for this painting and it really just made me wanna draw more.

This is one heck of a work, first time seeing you do traditional (excluding pen and mech-pencil), this one has a really good emotion in it, how can you have all this? I really want to be your older brother D:

but whatever it is, no i didnt. since those children are SOLD, i thought i could show it by putting a barcode on it, also makes the feel of them being "merchandise" and that theere are billions of them in the world, always replaced and used.
