It is a good thing I use gimp. I even used gimp to color some of your stuff.

Do you use a mechanical pencil for shading or for the whole drawing? A lot of people have told me that drawing with a mechanical pencil (this [link] ) is pretty hard and that I should use a normal one (this [link] ).

Most people would prefer using a mechanical pencil because the lead never changes its size, so rather than sharpening a normal artist pencil, you would maintain the same gradual line.

I started drawing as well as taking drawing classes three weeks ago, and I remember them discouraging the use of mechanical pencils. I do think they are pretty uncomfortable, but I'll try and see whether I can use them properly.
