This game took me about 3 months to make, but if you count the entire "Conqueror Sequel project", it took me 5 months, and if you consider the Conqueror Beta, this took me over a year!!! Basically, I wanted a Risk game with a more interactive way to do battle. I used very different techniques to make this game from what I usually do, which is why I started a whole new account... to display my new flavor of games!!!Please post suggestions!
UPDATE 03/26/11: Somebody suggested better music, so voila, now with better music!
UPDATE 07/15/11: I'm beginning work on a major update to this game, and I'm making a new map for this game, everyone please take a look and give suggestions: [link]

Hello to you too! I am somewhat of a Flash developer, however, I do not have knowledge about PHP or MySQL. I only use ActionScript 1.0, since I had an old version of Flash (version 5) for a really long time before upgrading to Flash 8.
I've been wanting to make a game with a scoreboard too, I just kept forgetting...

Ive read a past post about you having trouble getting communication with flash and php.
I am having the same trouble as there is not alot of clear info on this

great game, just a note ireland has and irish flag not the union jack.

I based this game's map off of a map made during WWI, at which time Ireland was part of the UK, which is why it has a British flag.
The flags are supposed to tell you who controls what territories, and since in this game Britain controls Ireland (initially), Ireland fights under the Union Jack.

Great game! I played britain vs. Germany and germany lost, and britain had 23 territories... yay. But the game was fun, and I was just locked to it for about 30 minutes XD
May I suggest, if you should ever make anything like this, that you could maybe add some more different war-machines? Maybe some with bigger ones with more bullets/more defence, or some more sucky ones who only shoot straight forward and have less defence... I don't know that's just some ideas, I'm sure you could think of better x)

This is a fun game, played it for about an hour with a friend, my only suggestion would be some musical variance, and maybe some alternate battle backgrounds

I know that Newgrounds has a "sound portal", but since DeviantArt is increasingly turning into a green-colored Facebook clone (compare the new DA toolbar with the Facebook one...), maybe one day they'll start copying Newgrounds stuff, and we'll have a Sound Portal too!

I wanted to put some music I found on NG into this game, but with the NG songs, the game would've been over 14 MB!

I could've trimmed it in Audacity or reduced the quality to something like 16kbps, but either way it would've sounded like crap, which is why I went with the stuff found on Flashkit.
