It was dark. The world sat idly, staring off into the abyss that was itself. Pent stood there, gazing into the unblinking eyes of his creation. His fists remained clenched, and he moved not an inch. He seethed, staring coldly, before speaking:

“So, it has come to this.” He said through grit teeth. His creation bubbled to life, smiling stupidly. “Catch the drift, finally?” It chortled. Pent raised an arm. “I made you, and you do this to me. You raise my ire. You concoct my ends!” His shouts meant nothing to his creation. “So? Not like you really mattered, I mean.” It spoke jovially, as if nothing were wrong.

“Khonjin.” Pent said, hush. “You will pay for your insolence.” He said, finally. Almost immediately, the world around them began changing in color. It grew, shapeshifted, and bubbled. Vividness spread across the scene, shifting from cities to meadows to alleys. “You see, I have all the power here, Khonjin. You are a pest in need of extermination.” Khonjin laughed, and suddenly, the world stopped spinning.

“Needn't you forget I am a part of you?” Khonjin spoke sweetly. Pent blinked, startled. He gasped, turning to face the world around him. “Why, you little MONGREL.” He shouted, jumping back to face Khonjin; but once he looked back, his creation was no longer there. He was startled for a few seconds, but then there was a tap on his shoulder.

WHAM. A fist flew directly into Pent’s face. Pent spiralled back, landing onto the cold, desolate floor. The grounds suddenly changed into a house, green walls and white trim. Khonjin walked over to Pent, and knelt down to meet his eyes. “Now, we can do this the hard way or the easy way.” He said, calmly. He held out a hand for Pent to take.

Pent looked at Khonjin bitterly. He got up himself, and Khonjin’s smile faded. “So you pick the hard way, huh? Too bad, I almost wanted to like you.” Khonjin snapped his fingers, and stepped back. Pent stood, confused. “What the hell are you doing?” He asked. Pent blinked, and Khonjin disappeared once again.

Pent screamed in fury, turning in place. Khonjin slammed his elbow into Pent’s back. Pent stumbled, falling backward onto the ground. Khonjin jumped on him, pinning him to the carpeting. “You asked for this.”
