I don't know Trying to kick my brain back into gear through the nostalgia of Crash and Coco bandicoot. Alright: Symbolical plot-points:
The tone of the background was -originally- supposed to be their front door; an illustration of the flipside of sibling relations; on the one hand, you can be resting quite comfortably inside, leaning on it in complete and utter security as you watch your little sibling completely protected, and dare you think; happy...or on the other hand they could've locked you out completely and left you to starve.
Now; the posture of the two, why is Crash holding her? Well; why wouldn't he? Honestly? He's older, not much wiser, practically depending on her in terms of 'common sense' or structure, I suppose; but at the same time--she's still young enough to need a support beam of her own (Lest she have to get her own batteries or, at this point; defend herself against half of what Crash takes on, )--so ergo: Big brother needs a baby sister, baby sister needs a big brother: Symbolical of semantics I suppose

Seriously: am I the only one who thought Coco was about...8-9? Honestly; when she first appeared, I thought, she just didn't have the general 'form' or even atmosphere of a teenager unlike Crash: Especially not when calling for Crash to fetch her things (Mind you; when you're 7 and there's an all too familiarly big age gap and passive chemistry between them...ya start thinking )

Technical word of advice: if you're gonna use oil pastel on Canvas....Never, EVER use graphite sticks to do the sketch underneath with; hence the horrendeously dirty and unclear texture of Crash and Coco's fur...it only worked for Coco's shirt, but other than that; just sloppy and amaeturish, I guess
And just incase: Coco's -9- in this Hence the proportions and size-differentiation; hey it's a theory sparked when I first saw her on my cousin's playstation, and new games or not: She's gonna stay that way in my head ...makes her more interestingly subtle, I think
