A question, how would you go about drawing the foliage in the background if you didn't want to just black it out?

Thanks I don't do that much w/colour it just seemed like a good idea at the time.
I outlined all the leafs because it was a progression from an etching but if I was to want more realism I would just keep painting leafs in darker tones until the area was full but I wanted the mystery of the dark so it was an easy way to go.

I think about 30 percent like them in colour and wont buy the graphite and about 50% like the graphite but not the painted, the rest don't care.
I really like to draw, it just comes so easily but every so often I must paint and out come the brushes but they take a lot longer and I also like to do portraits as you can see so I don't paint as many trees as I draw.

The Graphites would be great in a vignette, but I think that the painted ones are striking on their own, and should be showcased as such. (in my opinion). That would be what I would do, if I purchased your pieces.
