In response to the question of what I would look like as a demon.Seeing as the coconut octopus is one of my favorite animals, I WAS going to be all aquatic and stuff, but then I just drew four arms and then the horns happened and then all thoughts of watery-ness went out the window--er, down the drain?
Anyway, will probably experiment with several demon forms before picking my favorite (the losers will be sent into my scrap folder to languish in their own rejection).
HOW DO YOU DO FOUR-ARMED ANATOMY I DON'T EVEN--
I tried to make this image cohesive with the other portrait I drew of myself (hair, eyes, freckles, etc) and what's funny is that the lower pair of arms are set in a posture I tend to use a lot. Cool beans. Guess you'd have to have met me to know that, though.

Hah, I can picture you in the YYH universe now! I wonder what you can do with that pencil and notebook (besides, ya know, write in it). Control the actions and/or thoughts of your enemies? Anyway, somehow I now picture Kuwabara in the other half of the picture freaking out as you write about how he helplessly floats in the air to the other side of the room. ^_^ It could turn into a very entertaining fight scene.

WOW amazing! XD I really think this is epic XD haha I think the four arms looks perfect and seems to jsut fit with the rest of the torso so nicely. It doesn't look awkward or anythng at all. The arms holding hands, is cute in its own way and I adore those ones the most.... haha

Lol, I still remember the funny Genkai look you gave yourself in the Hiei comic. ^^
But really nice job on the pose and anatomy, especially with the extra appendages. (I don't know how to approach that myself.) About the question itself, when you mentioned not knowing what to do for abilities, I thought about your writings coming to life (like from a never-ending scroll or something). I'm not sure if it would be considered a cliche anime power, (I've only seen similar things happen in Naruto and Inuyasha), but at least you didn't go with fire or darkness as a primary. Unfortunately, those happen to be my favorite abilities when it comes to elements, but they are so overly used that it isn't funny.
So I try to really think about the mechanics of kinetic energy (fire) and the existence of shadow (both the visual and symbolic implacations) instead of "badass fire powers" and "pure darkness." I enjoy the feeling of liveliness that radiates from fire, and a person's shadow is just so interesting in itself.
And I sympathize with those languishing losers huddled up in the scrap pile. Lol.
