Description
I made a hollow book the other day for fun. Now I have an entire book about the history of the American Midwest sitting on my desk with no spine, cover, or margins. What to do?This is one of the projects I came up with to put those pages to good use.
I bought a circle of wood from a craft store and glued pages from the hollow book to the circle, trimming edges with an exacto knife. I drew an image of an inkwell and feather fountain pen freehand with a marker and filled in the silhouettes. I used a gold leaf pen to add highlights. After sealing it with gloss and whatnot I was done.
Included some close-up shots because I liked the way the images turned out. Lol. It looks pretty nice hanging on my wall at home.

That's a pretty cool idea. I love the compositions on both of them, and the text itself makes some interesting shapes.
