Pretty much what the title says, I've gottne back on the new spyro artstyle hype after crash 4 came out, so I decided to go back and try drawing in that style again.
I decided to draw my main sona first and foremost; for one, he needed an update to both his colors (they were way too dull due to his previous refs being drawn on a screen with very high brightness) and his design in general felt too old, since his last ref was made in 2018.

Of course this is just what he'd look like in the Spyro world, but the general features are the same; I decided to give him a flannel shirt instead of the usual hoodie cuz it's starting to get repetitive.
The lines were drawn on paper and you can still see the squares of it on the shirt if you squint lmao, I cleaned them up everywhere else.
I'll put up a flat-colored version with a color palette on his toyhouse, I wanted to just have this one fully shaded cuz I liked how it was looking.
