Part 7 of my story "The Castle Tour".

At the back of the feast hall, we go up a stairway and through a heavy iron door. The first thing i notice when she opens the door, is the cool air. It's a balcony. The floor is covered in white shiny marble, and a few empty flower pots along the wall. And of course there are more green hanging plants all around. The woman is standing still in front of the stone railing, looking out on the landscape. Slowly i walk towards her. I put my hands on the railing, expecting it to be cold. It's not...it's actually warm by the touch. But that is not what's on my mind, because i'm mesmerized by the incredible view before me. A vast and lush landscape. So beautiful, i can't get my eyes away from it. After what feels like an eternity, i suddenly realize something. How can this be? This is not the kind of surroundings in this area. I turn to the woman, but she is not there. She is on her way back inside. "We must continue", she says with her calm voice. "But....but...", I say.
