My God...
I'm astounding by how well you pulled this idea off.
Your palette is gorgeous, it really establishes the mood. The composition is sound; the expressions of the figures are loveable.
But what I really appreciate the most about this illustration is the way you were able to convey glowing light, and the highlight it casts on the surrounding objects and figures. Your textures--particularly with the furry collars and cuffs--are wonderfully executed. The same, likewise, for the folds in the cloaks. Not many people can paint clothing with such precision as you have displayed here. And the trinkets and ornaments hanging here and there from the tree limbs--so quirky and wonderful! The weight and detail involved in the ropes and strings to hold up those ornaments...precision. Excellent.
