I hate to step in but i was reading the comments about why lauren quit at MLP. and if im correct its because Hasbro was actually limiting lauren's abilities as the creator of the characters within the show. Hasbro didn;t like where lauren was going as Hasbro wanted to keep the show as a girl sterotype of thing so as to be able to make a large income on the toys that could be made by the show. which i feel is why they brought the breezies in because there may be a future project to sell breezie products.

But Hasbro wouldn't have these characters if Lauren Faust hadn't created them in the first place. I'm not going to say what Hasbro's doing is okay by any stretch of the imagination, but the characters are still very much Lauren's brainbabies :I

true and actually Hasbro and DHX forced cadence to be an alicorn princess which from what i read was never laurens original plan for the character which could answer some questions on HOW twilight ever got a alicorn foal sitter before she was ever celestia's student

My understanding is she wanted a sequential series, the character's to change over time, while Hasbro wanted a largely static episodic show they could syndicate and sell toy ponies to girls. And things only got worse from there.
