Start off by making the natural colored design on the character, and then try to add several diffrent versions of intense unnatural colors ^^ thats how I do it sometimes, and I see what I like best. If you need any help after that you can send them to me and I can look at them then.

If you want more help, either look up color theory or look at a color wheel. If you look at yellow, then look at the color across from it, you'll find purple. The brighter the warm color, the darker the cool color, and vise versa.

Orange is complementary to blue
Yellow to purple
and green to red ^^

Yay! I made a charie with this and I love her. But I have a problem, the head is difficult to replicate from my original picture. Do you have any ideas on how I can make it more consistent, along with her anatomy? I would provide a link but I have yet to scan it. XD
