True. Snivy and Servine's limbs do change into stubby leaves in the end. I forgot that Marshtomp is a biped.
Sorry about that. Its just every time I see fan-art of fakemon evolutions, they often look too similar to their pre-evolutions, having no drastic change in the final evo. I didn't mean to offend you.

Oh, speaking of Fakemon, maybe you could take a look at some of mine. I've been trying to help out with Pokemon ideas for his fic, but I need a little critiquing.

I'm not very good with critiques, but here goes. Seems like most of the Fakemon designs are pretty decent, but there are a few evolutions that seem pretty "generic" to me. I think they'll fit pretty well with the fanfic.
The fire-snake one's(sorry, forgot the name) evolution is an example of its design looking a bit "generic" to its pre-evolution. Maybe having it, and other Fakemon based on mythology(like Altaria is based on Peng, a Japanese dragon bird) or a reference to culture(like Emboar is based on Chinese culture or the Chinese boar). You can always look up images and/or old myths to give you an idea.

I've always hated Dragonite for ruining what used to be my favourite dragon evolution line (until Haxorus family that is). Dratini was so cute and Dragonair was so beautiful and you'd expect something even cooler coming up next. Instead, you end up with a fat Disney Dragon lookalike. The only thing it shared with its previous forms was that horn on top of its head... That, and nothing else.
But this, this would look so much better and it would make so much more sense! While I'm still not too keen on the bulky body type (or the small size of the wings though I do like their shade of green), I like how well your Dragonite is connected to the previous forms. It shares their colour scheme, their adorable eyes and -most importantly- the elegance of Dragonair.
I guess the folks at Gamefreak didnβt go for something like this because it would have been βtoo cuteβ. Therefore they made something βtougher and coolerβ instead T_T...

I always thought it was really weird how it changed from blue to orange. Maybe it's so they're easier to see in the sky and over the ocean? They are the protectors of the water or whatever, so it is a bit strange for it NOT to be blue...

The final evolution will always have a dramatic change. Look at Eggxecute, for example. It came from being a pile of eggs to a walking coconut tree.Β I find that pretty unique even though it sometimes doesn't make sense. But hey, this is Pokemon we're talking about. XD

I feel like when they were making Dratini and Dragonair, at the last minute they decided to give it a third evolution and instead of making a good one, they looked at that doofy Dragonite and thought "oh fuck it, we'll use this!"

Remoraid is based on a revolver and octillery on a tank... so they've got a theme to them.
Though design wise its a big change, yeah.

I quite like this one, as blue is my favourite colour, but it's true that it doesn't really look like dragonite this way, but it looks more mysterious though.
