Reference picture of the younger version of Jasper Solitaire. (Because it's so much easier to work from a reference when you're pencilling at 1 AM. Bah.)

I have a whole bunch of full-body reference pics of my characters in 'Phantasm'. Normally I can work straight out of my head, but my scheduling this year allows me to only work for a few odd hours in the early morning, so it's nice to have something to double check any tricky details against.

Jasper's already a tough charcter to draw, and he's trickier still when he's younger. He'd be the equivalent of 10-12 here. His facial proportions aren't quite as sharp and stretched as they are when he's older, and his proportioning is just a tad different. Sort of the 'puppy' syndrome. Oversized hands, larger, rounder eyes, narrower shoulders, slightly shorter body.

(Pen and ink, approx...jeez...I dunno...two hours? haha)
