i really like those flat graphics that you see on canvas prints and mugs and stuff in those fancy interior design places
so here is another flat vector graphic that i thought would make a pretty nice canvas print - if you wanted to brighten up your room with something other than big-breasted anime pictures
this one is japanese-inspired and features a sakura (cherry blossom) tree using vectored and hand-blown inks (i got a straw out and blew the ink around, it was very crafty!) some of the splotches were brushes though. vibrant coral blossoms on a 'bone' coloured background.

i love how different this looks, from far away it looks like cherry blossoms, but from close up it looks like fingers and drops of pink blood

i did like the idea of it being blood... it ties back in with the transience of life and all those other good things that cherry blossoms represent

you know, when they dyed kimonos with cherry blossoms designs they would use the blood of insects for the red

I love this kind of stuff as well - this one is my fave of the bunch because it's the most minimalistic and abstract in my opinion. I love it!
