A reference sheet for my interpretation of sirens. A terrifying creature from Greek mythology... That I inadvertently made cute.

In the wild they wear kelp and other forms of seaweed as clothes, Their diet consist of anything made of meat tbh though they prefer fish, crustaceans, mermaids and the occasional human. Of course they can hunt like other ocean predators but usually sing, to which they sing at different frequencies to hypnotize prey and lure them closer. Of course any deaf creature is relatively safe. They are very social creatures and live in family groups called choirs. The dominant female usually ranges from 7-8 ft in height while the rest range from 5-6 ft. They make their nest in large rocks that poke out the water. They slam their tails against the rock till holes big enough for them to enter are made. They will perch on top of the rock to catch birds and humans with their songs. Their skin produces a bad tasting, slippery mucus in the case of getting stuck in a hole.

Sirens that have been integrated into human society are stereotyped as mindless eating machines. Despite this many have managed to make a good living.
