Description
Dirty aperture of a ''fat'' Biotar 75mm F1.5 just before cleaning. Due to the small amount of grease it is stuck together.
It did not have any negative effects, as the aperture mechanism in the Biotar 75mm F1.5 is directly attached, without any springs inbetween the mechanical parts, so it will never get stuck.
When you get your hands on such a lens, you clean every single part of it to the best of your abilities. Every single part of the lens, including the glass, is dismantled and cleaned, relubed, polished and/or painted again.
