Description

An edible mushroom that has a sour, citrus tang, but also a vague nuttiness. When cooked, the nut flavor is usually intensified to even out the tartness. Typically a pinkish-purple with a white stalk, skirt, and outlining on its segmented cap. The thin, lacy hairs that make up the skirt look pretty, but if you try and eat them, you'll be sorely displeased, as it's just mushroom hair. It tastes like hair. Gross. Chefs will commonly try to work the skirt in as a sort of delicate garnish, but they don't expect you to eat it. You can hide it under the table, it's okay
