For a change, this one only took about 15 minutes to sketch (pen only!), 1 hour to clean up and color (Painter IX), and another hour to thicken the line drawing and shade (Painter IX).

Given how simple it turns out, I think I should have been able to finish it faster... Eh... Next time XD

The meaning of the name is multi-layered. However, at the very basic, it's a conjugate of two words: "cat" + "nip"

This is because when I finished sketching her, my wife goes "Oh, a thief chara huh?"

Hence in this case, "nip" = "thief" or "steal"

The rendering is rather simple... I'm actually tempted to mark this as "WIP" (Work In Progress) but I like it so much and made it to be my wallpaper XD

I'll update this piccie when I do tweak the coloring some more ^^
