First of all : what is popular ? I don't consider myself popular lol
and the senior thing, well its against my nature to be ignorant and I did communicate before I was a senior and I do it now as well, the member status does not make a difference to me . But I know what you mean because months ago I wondered about the same thing. I thought why are they so special that they don't respond ? Nothing is so special about them at all ...

well, considering you get around 100 to 200 (average) comments on each journal, lots of people notice you and what you do affects a lot of people
that's really cool, that your member status does not make a difference in what you do. i know a lot of people that would be very huffed-up if they become senior member, that they won't really care about the average deviants.... i guess that they (popular people who don't respond to anything) just can't keep up with all the messages. i mean, i know deviants that would get couple hundred messages and favs in a matter of hours after they posts up something, and they just don't want to repeated say "thank you"
i can understand that, but i do think that they should reply to questions if people ask them about something in the artwork. i know that i have wanted to know what kind of marker or color pencil they used for a certain part of the body, and they have never replied to the message....oh well
lol, it's ok if you don't always reply to messages, no one can keep up with everything, right? ....sorry for the long post

I know what you mean, sometimes a message center can get out of control and I do not see a point to respond to messages that say "nice" ...but when there is a question somewhere I think its the right thing to do is to respond ... I hope I can keep up with this lol
but hey popular journals do not mean you are popular lol , in my opinion the word "popular " is relative and over rated at times
