Very nice capture! I think the flash washed the color of the leaf a little, but its a great shot, the leaves in the background look great as well. You truly do have patience to shoot that shot naturally.

Been trying that too but never managed to get a decent focus so far. Makes me want to try it again, now that I've practised manual focus more.
Love the yellow of that one, bright and sunny.

I think the camera was real helpful, because this is actually autofocus. The speed that D200 can focus with amazes me sometimes.

Wow. Can't say that much about the 300d's focusing speed since I use my Sigma 105 mm most of the time and that lens is really, really slow. I love that lens, but the speed with which it focuses is

With longer focal length lenses it gets slower for me , at 300 mm is am far less lucky.
