I listened to [link] about a thousand times, but the resulting story had a VERY different mood than the sweet song. There is a sweetness to the story, I suppose, but not without plenty of flirting and romanticized remarks. But honestly, isn't that why we love France?
Monaco was super fun to write. I tried to capture an even tie between prim and flirty, because nobody seems to be able to pin her down. And if you haven't quite picked up on my interpretation of the nations yet, I always write them as humans because I think they're happier that way. There's not endless sadness and guilt from things past weighing them down...and if I wrote for France as a nation, I don't know if I could bring myself to write anybody with him but Jeanne.
