Description Shu of Shujinkou
Shu means "main" and Shujinkou means "main character". Shu is one of the three playable characters in this rpg that teaches japanese.

Backstory
Shu is loyal to his family, friends and community. A protector with a strong sense of justice, who keeps his cool in combat.  He is driven by his sense of duty to those he serves and therefore takes his job seriously. He grew up as an excellent student and swordsman who could dual wield at the age of 14. His skills attracted the attention of the entire village when he would venture out to nearby villages to secure routes from bandits, pillagers and wild animals. This earned him a great high renown among the villagers and caught Takeda Shingen’s attention. Shingen invited Shu, now 20, to join his ranks. Their first trek together had them end up in Genya Kaikou where they met Fuku. After his duel with Fuku ended in a stalemate, Shu invited him to join them. The three continued to quickly defeat other daimyos and gain control and power throughout Genya.

Shu was the very first character I design for this game! I was very happy to take on a samurai character, especially one who dual-wields. It's funny how much I learned and how much more quickly I can design a character now since designing Shu.  To compare, this piece took me a month from research to render, Shingen and Fuku took me a week? and Tatiana a couple days.  Honestly I did a lot more process for Shu, quadruple the research, triple the thumb-nailing and double the iterations. I found ways to cut down. It's not magic though, spending a lot of time painting Shu lead me to...seek out tutorials.  He is very painterly here, my other characters get a more cell-shaded approach.  I still have the lines for Shu so I may have to go back and give him the same touch.
