Drawn as an excuse to make a background.I enjoyed drawing the rock mountain thingy. Rocks are fun....pain.
And Gible is always awesome.
I still need to figure out a consistent process when it comes to making my backgrounds. -.-

You know, I prefer pairing Hilbert with Oshawott rather than Tepig, AKA the "official" starter for Hilbert according to the manga.

I used to pair him with Oshawott at first too. But eventually Emboar grew on me. I see Hilbert as this very heroic, will get his hand dirty is needed be, guy. I can easily see him buddy up with Emboar and participate in a battle himself. xD It wouldn't be as easy with Samurott.

Samurott looks tons cooler. But I think he fits Cheren more. Whole Samurai noble thing fits the kid rather well.

I think the Snivy family fits Cheren more because Cheren is calculating and a little overconfident. What better than the grasshole called Snivy?

Snivy fits him because of personality. But battle-wise I think he works better with Samurott, plus like I said what Samurott represents.
I always see Snivy with Hilda. It's such a random mash up, but at the same time makes sense. xD

Well, I'll stick to Hilbert/Oshawott, Cheren/Snivy and Bianca/Tepig as usual. TOO BAD for U coz in the manga Cheren has Snivy.

I love some of the characters they made up for the anime such as Tracey, Paul and Trip. Of the characters they made up for the manga I only like Yellow because Emerald SUCKS. Srsly, Wally should've been Emerald.

Yellow made sense. How she was introduced was pretty clever and creative, plus it was in the early days when there wasn't much to work of from the Games.
Emerald made no sense. Why couldn't they simply use Wally? Wally could've been given Emerald as his nickname or last name or something. -.-

Emerald was a complete freak. Terrible attitude. Terrible design. Terrible character. Wally was perfect for Emerald. Wally was the one who found Treecko and the Pokedex and Emerald ends up with them, Emerald just stole the gold Wally himself got. Imagine the entire Emerald Arc redone with Wally challenging the Battle Frontier and finding Jirachi.
And about Yellow, I think it's disappointing how a character like her was only featured in the manga. I think Leaf, Yellow, Wally and Lucas should've gotten some role in the anime.
