Description
There are 131 counties in the island U.S. state of the Commonwealth Republic of Sintopia, the only independent state with a constituent government of autonomous status. Counties in Sintopia are treated as the county-equivalents by the United States Census Bureau. The five regions of Sintopia, on the other hand, are treated as the minor civil divisions. Some of these counties are named after people, cities and cultures, such as movies and TV shows. Some county namesakes are either native Sintopian language or names of the people who supported Queen Carly during the Sintopian Revolutionary era. On February 17, 2841, Sintopia became the 51st and most recent state to ratify the Constitution and admitted to the Union.

Sintopia has the third greatest number of counties, following Texas (254 counties) and Georgia (159 counties). If Virginia would count having 95 counties and 38 independent cities, summing 133 U.S. subdivisions, Sintopia would be pushed to having the fourth greatest number of counties. The five remaining states having over 100 counties are Kentucky (120 counties), Missouri (114 counties and 1 independent city), Kansas (105 counties), Illinois (102 counties), and North Carolina (100 counties).

In terms of establishment, the first and oldest county is Monorocco County, which was established in 2842, while the last and youngest county is Glance County, which was established in 2972, named after Sintopia's long-time governor Oostonyo Glance. In terms of population, the most populous county is Castineland County, with a population of 4 million people as of January 1, 3019, while the least populous county is Coronel County, with a population of 256 people. In terms of area, the largest county is Castineland County, with a total land area of 600 square miles (1554 square kilometers), while the smallest county is Millennium County, with a total land area of 27 square miles (70 square kilometers).

Unlike the counties in the other 50 states, those counties are notable by votes from people who wanted to visit or live in Sintopia, and because crime is very low and rare in Sintopia, these counties lack legal actions and do not necessarily have courthouses, which if Sintopia, as well as its largest city Castineland and state capital Oostlalington City had regular basic human population, would all be prone to lawlessness.
