I hope your self esteem grows many strong muscles because you should never hide your beautiful gift beneath the table. Your gift shines and brings as much enjoyment as Twilight does.
We're human and make mistakes. So did your teacher. We're human and have preferences, mistakenly your teacher considered you as "not."
Enjoy your art and many will enjoy with you. I hate critiques, but will accept others suggestions. I feel if I can sell my work and people are amazed by it, then I want to continue to better myself but not "break" myself. Consider it.
That's one person's opinion, and this is not to think harshly of your teacher. But you are a fiery, emotional, passionate, calm, wise, and beautiful interpreter of a person's heart. It shines through your pictures. I love them. They are special. So, without much adieu, may you have total success in your career as an ARTIST! Much luv and hugs to you, my friend!

A few weeks ago, when I started drawing again, a friend of mine showed my works to 2 other art teachers. They both said that m drawings were nothing valuable... I started exchanging e-mails with one of them - he gave me assignments and I sent them to him... And the conclusion was that my way of thinking was bad, and he wrote that I should not show emotions on faces, and things like that. I realized that this was not what I wanted. I don't care about this world of art, I just want to feel good after a hard day of teaching. So I should draw what makes ME happy, not what makes a few art teachers happy...
And here I am: an artist (you) saying that I'm not lost. That really means a lot to me.
I think I'll print out your comment here and put it to message board behind my monitor.

U-welcome! I think the teachers are going for a certain type of product. They'd probably say my pictures are worthless too.
Still, with God's help, I've been selling my portraits...people cry, love them, and want more. Everyone has their own corner...so do your teachers. And your teachers can stay in that corner...we're not going to stay! We will venture out! Onward soldiers!!!

No, I didn't know his name back then, lol. But a friend of mine tole me she saw him in a pub, but there were 3 bodyguards surrounding him, while he was sipping his beer alone, so nobody could say hi to him. That must have been lonely... Though I can understand that after a girl bit him he's a bit overcautious.

I hope he will get it right. In most American movies when the actors are supposed to speak Hungarian, they end up speaking nonsense in a Russian accent. (Which is not similar to Hungarian. At all.)

well, in one of the polish interview with Rob, he said 'podnieś nogę' which means 'lift your leg up' and believe me - it was perfectly.
