And I get what you mean. Usually, Rp's help me understand my characters more and give them more original personalities. Like I have another character, Faroe Islands, but i'm iffy about her personality because I rarely play her

it's where one person takes the role of one character and other people (or just another person) takes a role too in a story. something like this:

sarah: 'Sup, bandaswups?
michael: um...what?
roth: just ignore her.
michael: o...kay then....sarah are you okay?
sarah: Ye, bitches. *sits down*
michael: *stares at sarah* ...?
roth: *glowers at both of them*

and sarah, michael, and roth would all each be a person rp'ing as them. they talk and the story develops onward through that. however rping is usually done with canon series characters, like characters from naruto, bleach, harry potter, percy jackson series, and so on
