Description
Carmentis is the Cimmerian Sybil of fertility and growth, an Apollonian prophetess living a Cimmerium near Lake Avernus. Her first mention goes back to somewhere the late 200s BC, let's say between 235 and 204 BC. That was the time when Naevius the playwriter lived and worked and he wrote about Carmentis in his Carmen belli penici play. She appeared in several later plays, even in the Aeneas. I am really happy that she took her busy time to stand in for a photo during a session.
