Description
Reprocessed for the new site - [link]I captured this 3 years ago in a reserve in a mountain valley just outside my home town. Though the lane still stands, the plantations around it have burned down and the ground within the reserve is being rehabilitated to it's natural flora. So this scene will never be the same again.

coming back to it . . . i like the image, composition and colors, but i still see it as moving away from your stated new direction.
i guess you're thinking a full frame will allow you to get the detail you want on a shot like this, and drop theprocessing time you spent cleaning it up!?
getting a clean detail. correct color look similar to mr. resch above w/ his 5d!?

Something like that. All the people who's photos I admire shoot full frame, most of them 5D because a 1D is overkill for nature photography.

not trying to be a jerk . . .
i like the new direction you're attempting!
but this image seems oversharpened with a processed look!?
other than muted color this seems like a step in the opposite direction!?
i'm sure your eyes are better than mine though . . .
