i'm not to sure about digital art now i keep doing paintings in digital i keep saying i didn't use layers, people say "why don't you use layers"i say because "i love painting the way i do in real life theres no fuckn layers section in real life" you do paint in layers in real life but not like that,i just don't get the whole thing about it,i can paint digitally, but all this fancy shit confuses me.

I hope your experiments are successful i have heard of sumo paint,i know how you feel about been intimidated of the medium, you should try painting in traditional media one day believe me it's a lot more enjoyable, and real thats why i'm doing mostly traditional from now on!

Yeah man,the fancy stuff isn't for me,I can't get all the settings and stuff figured out, hahaI've been wanting to try my hand at a painting for awhile now,I need to get some supplies first,I must admit I have nothing yet...well,one brush, but a cheap one and old.I'm hoping to buy some painting supplies soon from the art store by my house,I checked last time I was there, and I didn't know where to really start, hahaI didn't know what canvas to get or anything

Alot of people have that problem of where to start with painting i'm happy to answer any of your questions, but i recommend reading books or research on google,it's hard when you first start out i remember when i first started airbrushing when i was 20 i didn't have a clue, but it slowly got better and i researched on the medium and learnt lots of trick through trial and error.

If you buy a canvas you buy stuff called "gesso" it is just acrylic to prime your canvas you apply 3 coats and your ready to paint. As far as brushes i'm not that fussy i just use whatever i can get as long as there not too cheap and crap, you can get good brushes for cheap prices.

Many thanks for all this great advice my friend,I will keep all of this mind for sureResearch is something I haven't done too much of yet,I really need to start doing that soon, watching some tutorials and stuff.I always loved airbrushing, the smoothness of everything,it looks so clean.A store here sells custom airbrushed t-shirts,they're always selling out of them quickly

i'm getting back into airbrushing, but when people say
"hey man should paint motorcycle tanks"that just really pisses me off, because airbrush has been around alot longer than than shit, but i like t-shirt airbrushing i went through a stage when i was doing t-shirts.

I have sold a few paintings" mostly gouache" but people never bought my airbrush canvases which i find weird.

That's crazy!I would think people would be jumping on top of the airbrush paintings!I like airbrushing,I saw an airbrushing machine at the arts and crafts store by my house,it looked pretty good,I was thinking about buying one soon.I just can't make up my mind what to jump into right now.I know I want to paint, some kind of painting,I'm considering airbrushing, acrylics or oils to paint with soon, but it's taking me awhile to get into it.

MrTristanOne In reply to HoustonTxArtist [2012-05-08 04:28:27 +0000 UTC]

sorry for the late reply i was on a holiday.

Some people don't consider airbrush a real medium, the airbrush has had to fight hard, some people still think airbrushing is fake.

I recommend you try gouache oneday it's defienately one of my favourite mediums, its water based it's opaque watercolour it's more like waterbased acrylic i reckon,i find oils way to messy and disgusting, acrylics are fantastic but take a while to get used too.

No problem man,I actually haven't had any spare time until just recently to even get on here.Man,I still think airbrushing is great,it's a real medium to me.And I like that the canvas can be almost anything, that's pretty coolI'll have to try that out,I actually tried my hand at a little painting a while ago, well,me and my girlfriend. It was pretty fun, they were acrylics, but I had a hard time getting used to it

i can give you a tip with with acrylics, you put colours next to other and blend then you can put a dark blue leave a small gap and put a light blue and and blend the two together might send you an example in muro drawing!

Thanks a million my friend!!I must admit, his hair was the hardest part,I have the most trouble drawing hair, the lighter the hair, the more troubles I have.It was hard finding a good pic of him,I searched for awhile,I liked the pic because he has the little hatchet in his hand, very nice

You can watch the first one on youtube mirrored. I don't find them scary at all though, Chucky's actually kinda funny and I also found a Chucky comic online, it actually exists!

Haha,he is pretty funny,it's one of those scary movies that is more of a joke than scary.I tried to make Chucky look a little more threatening, haha

yea I know, I like watching child's play cuz of it's humor, not horror and you did a good job at making Chucky menacing, it's really cool

I havent watched much horror movies and I barely know that category of movies.
What scares me though, is practically any little sound at night

I've kind of became accustomed to the night. When the sun rises,I go to sleep, when it's down,I wake up.Nighttime job hours suck, sometimes I work days.I will admit,I'm afraid of ghosts or spirits,I believe they might be real.I have some theories on things, but haha, they are not the norm.

my biggest fear is breaking my neck. ever since I heard it was possile to instantly kill someone by breaking their neck, I always get paranoid, especially when I wrestle my older brother, I stay still when he's got my neck!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

HoustonTxArtist In reply to killerartist95 [2012-03-05 04:40:00 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, that is a a good thing to fear, the neck is such a bad spot on humans,so open and too many veins, jugular and all that, plus the spine is there,I used to play basketball and football back in the day,no injuries thankfully.I hated playing wide receiver in football,I got wiped out a few times, blindsided, nasty hits. One time I got my neck hurt by some one tackling me,he hit elbow first strait to my neck, right below the jaw, ouch,it hurt, but not too bad,he hurt his elbow more than my neck, haha

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

killerartist95 In reply to HoustonTxArtist [2012-03-05 11:08:44 +0000 UTC]

ouch, that still sounds like it hurt! I remember a few years ago, there was this girl in my grade who for some reason always got injured, she would have a cast or most of the time a collar around her neck. now tht must hurt a lot!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

HoustonTxArtist In reply to killerartist95 [2012-03-06 05:06:49 +0000 UTC]

Yeah man,I know she must have had a lot of pain, that sucks!Luckily,I haven't broken any bones yet,at least that I know of,haha. My knuckles might have been broken at one time, but that's it.That's my fear, breaking a bone, like a leg or arm, ouch!!I dislocated my jaw once, nasty feeling,I can't imagine a broken jaw!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

killerartist95 In reply to HoustonTxArtist [2012-03-06 13:04:37 +0000 UTC]

my fear is breaking a bone as well, thankfully I haven't yet, but I have this feeling that I'm not gonna last untouched like this! My big bro broke his wrist once, and my aunt broke her jaw in a car accident a long time ago. she had to eat her food grounded up into mush and drink it with a straw, including her rice and meat!

HoustonTxArtist In reply to killerartist95 [2012-03-11 03:33:01 +0000 UTC]

Ouch, ouch, ouch. That would suck man,I couldn't imagine having to go through all of that.Hey,I thought by now I would have broken bones,I was really active in my younger years in school, basketball and football, and then I had my bmx'ing phase,I ate the pavement so many times nasty, but only scars, luckily no broken bones.I'm scared of a broken ankle or foot, that would suck bad, having to put weight on it

killerartist95 In reply to HoustonTxArtist [2012-03-11 13:25:48 +0000 UTC]

lol ya I hate it when something gets jinxed! like one time I was playing air hockey against my friend, and I was creaming him at first, feeling real cocky, but I think I was showing off too much cuz after he kept beating me, and I couldn't even get a single goal on him!

yo that's too sick, playing for free! that saves you a lot of maney man, arcade games rip you off, and drain you wallets till they're dry! I also like the arcade games where you and a partner are in some mission, and you shoot at the screen with a gun, that's pretty cool too

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

HoustonTxArtist In reply to killerartist95 [2012-05-03 22:14:58 +0000 UTC]

Man,I like those too man,the partner shootersThere's one I love playing,I forget the name now,it's kind of old,but it had two handguns to shoot with, one time I was on a mission to beat the whole game,I spent almost $20 in quarters trying to keep it going, hahaI finally won that day hahaha

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

killerartist95 In reply to HoustonTxArtist [2012-05-07 03:12:55 +0000 UTC]

lol that's funny actually, that's what I mean by arcade games eating your money, I find that they intentionally make them hard to beat just so you spend more quarters, but anyways congrats on the win

HoustonTxArtist In reply to killerartist95 [2012-05-14 09:13:26 +0000 UTC]
