“But choosing a pumpkin is so hard!” Kurtis giggled, posing with a pumpkin above his head. “Anyway, we have plenty of time.”
“No, we don’t,” Owen replied, annoyed at Kurtis’s actions. “The witch said we had till midnight tonight to complete the ritual.”
“Plenty of time; how difficult is it for us to carve one of these bad boys?” Kurtis dismissed. “Enjoy your beautiful body. If it becomes permanent, it sounds like a win to me!”
Kurtis and Owen made the mistake of pranking a witch in their neighborhood. As retaliation, she put a gender swap spell that would become permanent if they couldn’t complete a specified pumpkin carving and provide homemade candy apples with a side of candy corn by midnight. While Owen is terrified at the prospect of becoming a girl full-time, Kurtis is having a little too much fun.
“Actually, I think-” Kurtis started before the pumpkin slipped out of his hands and broke onto the floor. “That this pumpkin was perfect….”
