There's a certain stillness around this time of year. The moon is surrounded by clouds as the last of the leaves fall and winter takes its grip on the earth and the gentle coolness of autumn becomes a harsh cold warmed only by the kindness of your fellow man. The weather releases a feeling in you that you can't quite explain. A longing for days you never knew. When the only thing that roamed the ground you walked on were the animals in the Forests and the natives who hunted them. The wind blows through your jacket as you watch the night sky and are filled with reverence for the nature that fell to allow your daily comforts and your vices. The nearly bare branches creak in the winds and carry the air with the final leaves of fall making the world that much more beautiful. The birds chirps have all but finished as they've begun their travel south. Truly as autumn end and winter begins the transition is not one of a tug of war, but of a time slowly going into the night.
