Another old character (she used to go by Anya--I changed that when I realized it didn't sound...Bosmer-y)! She used to use a hammer and a be a descendent of the Dwemer, but...well, I changed her up a little.

Background: Born in Cyrodiil to a pair of arcane archeologists who soon moved to Morrowind for research on the mysterious disappearance of the Dwemer, Anaia spent several years helping her parents in their studies. She joined the Mages Guild as she got older, showing interest in magic and alchemy alongside her fascination with research. She quickly rose the ranks, diligent in her studies, and it wasn't long before she acquired her own Wizard's Staff. Once she was free of menial tasks and could focus on what she wanted, she began traveling in order to do more proper research (particularly on the Dwemer, though eventually she broadened her horizons). During this time, she met Llaalruse and, after some initial difficulties, the two became friends and traveling partners. She agreed to ignore Llaal's less-than-legal habits, since Llaal was fairly virtuous about the job (and she had a tendency to "find" rare books and bring them to Anaia).

And that is where she is as I play her in Morrowind. I never actually played her in Oblivion, as I recall, but she was still researching and traveling around, so there's not much to add.

Though she's a very capable mage, she's much more interested in studying things. She loves books--her small house is FILLED with them--and she practically joined the Mages Guild in order to have more access to arcane knowledge. Those things aside, she's skilled with alchemy and enchanting, and she enjoys writing scrolls for new spells. Much of her research lends itself to better ways to produce potions, magical objects, and scrolls.
