Whew! It's been a bit since I've painted--being on vacation for too long apparently makes me super lazy. So, now that I've moved and will shortly have less time to do art, I decided to get some paintings done!For those unaware, this is Elesh Norn from Magic: the Gathering. I think she's beautiful--in a really weird, horrifying way. I had a lot of fun trying to emulate the white Phyrexian feel here.

Perfection embodied! I am surprised no one every talks about Norn's title as "Grand Cenobite." As far as I know, that word has never been used outside of Clive Barker fiction. It made me stop and ponder if Barker had adopted the word from older mythology, but I have yet to find any conclusive sources to prove that.

She is very... beautiful, in a obscure and very terrifying way. But this is moot when the MTG community calls her "Lady Gaga' as a nick name.

she is horrifyingly beautiful, and you definitely were able to emulate that here. The colors and everything are so beautiful.
