Description
This is an experimental environment created using a stock images of the Earth and the Moon. Took about 8 hours to get it to look the way I wanted it to. Look forward to seeing a tutorial on this.I forgot to update this, the tutorial is on SmashingMagazine!

Definitely gives a dark view on something that might happen, scary thought that. I hope such a thing never happens in real life.

i would make the explosion more dramatic...the way its drawn its if its only the first impact...unless thats what you intended

very awesome, it looks like it could be in a high budget scifi movie. I particularly like the way all the light focuses on the moon and the area of the earth that is being damaged by the collision.

looks cool but I would like to see some major atmosheric problems and maybe some kind of debris.

The asteroids were made from a stock image of a large rock. As for the tutorial, it will hopefully appear in the near future. I'll post an update when its up.
