Description
This is the first of many practice pieces to come. This is my attempt at setting up a scene, which worked oh so well in my head, and my first successful attempt to draw a horse which does not resemble a dog with a cow head. These two fellows, whom I simply sketched and will draw in detail seperately, were invented when my muse decided to come around for her visit. She's a fickle sort, and you can learn all about the details in my journal post for May 04-05, 2006.
The two brothers (still unnamed), living sometime in the middle ages and somewhere in a fantasy land, are both somewhat insane. The one in the back sees any and all trees as people who are shouting praise at him. Needless to say, he's a bit vain at this point and goes around waving to his "fans". His brother, the guy in the front, has been burdened by their late parents to take care of his younger sibling. He always considered himself normal, until his first attempt to ditch his little brother. That's when the rabbit came. The rabbit follows them everywhere now. He stares at the older one, who is apparently the only one that can see him, and disappears whenever anybody tries to touch/catch/kill him, all of which have been unsuccesfully attempted, only to reappear almost simultaneously in a nearby spot. He never talks, only stares, and only at the older sibling. In fact, the older brother seems to be the only one that can see the rabbit. He's learned to ignore the leporid now, but whenever he tries to ditch his little brother, the rabbit exudes such a threatening aura that he quickly changes his mind.
This whole story, of course, came to me from my muse. The details, such as names, places, and events will be filled in later. Currently, though, I'm glad to have even something of a logical (in my mind) plot. Again, more to come later.
Also, much thanks to for her tutorials on drawing horses. Without them, I would stlil be stuck in dog-cow land.
