Jewel sighed and kicked a stone across the ground.She was bored...
The woods were nice...but there was nothing to do.
She sat down, her bell jingling slightly.
'Now what? She could look for that glowing friend...nah...maybe look to the town? No...She would just scare them...'
"Oh my."
Jewel yelped and whipped around.
Standing behind her was a very tall creature. There eyes were wide with surprise, but strangely...not fear.
"What are you doing out here little one?" They said softly.
So they were a girl...and their voice was rather soft.
Jewel didn't know how to respond. They weren't scared of her...should she talk?
The big Auri knelt down and tilted her head. "Its ok...Im here to help you. My name is Celia. What's your name?"
"Monster..."
Jewel and Celia both looked surprised.
Her first word...was monster?
Why?
She wanted to say her name!
"You're not a monster..." Celia said softly, moving her paw closer.
Jewel whimpered and shivered. What were they doing?!
"Its ok..." Celia said.
Her paw mover closer as Jewel closed her eyes, bracing herself for anything.
Then it touched her head.
Jewel opened her eyes in confusion and looked to the hand on her head. What was this? Why were they touching her? Why wern't the scared?
And...
Why did...this contact...feel so nice?
No one had ever touched her on purposes before...
Jewel closed her eyes and leaned into the touch slightly.
Celia smiled and gently rubbed the Auri's head. "You're not a monster...you're a child...a precious child."
Jewel felt herself start to cry.
She didn't know how to take all of this.
"Its alright." Celia smiled, slowly sliding her hands to the Auri's sides and picking her up.
Jewel whimpered and leaned into the touch.
It felt so nice...
And warm...
And yet she didn't even know what this was!
But she never wanted it to stop...
Celia hugged her to her chest gently and started off to town.
