He didn't know why, but he decided to take a trip round the enterprising parts of Tektopia, he had ventured to Inthelittlecorp and stayed with Toby and Martyn for a few nights.
It was strange, all these big skyscrapers and structures, and the two still lived at a small campsite falling asleep looking up at the stars.
Once he had said his farewells he made his way to Sjips Co., although he didn't want to sleep overnight there. As far as he knew they still had the 'interview' room up and running.
So he didn't stay long in their company. Last he decided to visit the Jaffa factory, he hadn't been there in a while and hadn't seen how they were getting on over there.
He hopped over the wall and made his way towards the group of three, who were squabbling over something ear the Jaffa café.
"Nilesy?" Lalna asked. the scientist seemed to relax a bit, so did Honeydew. But Xephos didn't seem too happy to see him.
As the spaceman turned and walked towards him, he couldn't help but stare at the metal arm and eye that seemed to seep through from underneath his skin.
Xephos grabbed the pool boy round the throat, clenching down with his metal grip and lifting him into the air.
"Xephos!" Lalna shouted, but as the poolboy looked down at the spaceman, he saw no part of the man he knew, his one normal blue eye had glassed over with no shine to it at all, his mouth was slightly pouted and he appeared to be grinding his teeth slightly.
"What the fuck?! Put him down Xeph!" the dwarf shouted, causing the spaceman's features to return to his usual kind look.
His blue eye widened as he saw what he was doing.
"N-Niles..." he let the poolboy drop to the floor and took a step back, panick racing through his skull. "Nilesy I... I'm so sorry!" he looked down at his metal arm and felt his metal eye with his normal hand, before taking another step from his coughing friend.
"It's-it's fine X-Xeph, honestly."
was it fine though? The spaceman had almost strangled him, like in his dream... could it be a sign? Like his dream was a warning or something? No he was just thinking too far into things, but why did the spaceman have a metal arm in the first place?! He needed to seek out Ridge and his library, perhaps he'd find something in there.
