This image was taken while I was living in the village of Lacoste*, France. I was going to the Lacoste School of the Arts, which is owned by the Savannah College of Art & Design. Going to live in France was one of the three most influencial events of my life... all of these images are part of a portfolio of about 4,000 images total. That's just a guess though... I probably have more than that. I think I may have that many from just my digital camera.

Anyway, this image is in a villiage just north of the town of Apt in Provence, France. There was a big open field across from a church and cemetary that was just filled with these magnificent trees. It was an extrodinarily foggy day that. I remember the temperature had shifted greatly while we up there. We changed altitudes as well as the temperature change across the region, hence the extreme fog. But the field made for a nice picture even if it wasn't foggy that day.

*I recommend that everyone visit the medieval village of Lacoste... where the infamous Marquis de Sade resided, in his castle-like chateau, that towers over the village even today.
