Description
The initial POD is the German thrust into Poland was less successful, slowing down their advance and allowing Poland to hold on for longer. The French don't try the doomed Saar offensive, and instead focus all their efforts on defense. The original plans for the invasion of France lead to the German offensive stalling, creating a scenarios reminiscent of the First World War. Germany soon goes bankrupt and the Allies begin march into German territory. Eventually, the government is overthrown and Germany surrenders. Japan, as per OTL, invades French Indochina, seeing a once in a lifetime opportunity. The Japanese barely expand past Indochina, and desperately attack America to gain more time. They swiftly fall under the combined might of the Allies, United States, and eventually the Soviet Union.

Some things of note -
The closest thing to a Cold War was the conflict between the European League, a mix of the EU and NATO, and the Soviet Union.

The Soviet Union never fought Germany, leaving everything west of Russia in the European League.

The United States fell back into isolation after the defeat of Japan, and is not as influence as in our timeline.

Mao was able to completely defeat the Nationalists, even taking Taiwan.
