Description A crash woke me up, coming from outside our camp. Groggily sitting up, I pulled on my stola and cinched my girdle tight underneath, while my cousins did the same.

Wondering what had woke me up, I drew aside the make shift walls and saw a huge crack in the ground a hundred yards away.

“Holy Zeus, what is that?” Athena shrieked, pointing towards a dark figure that had pulled itself out of the crack.

It was cloaked in a dark toga, held aside with a midnight blue sash. His black hair covered part of his pale face and only one of his golden eyes shone through.

Who was this man? And what was he doing here?

He approached the three of us slowly, taking careful steps around the flowers as to not hurt them. The only thing was that as he brushed against them, they turned black and shrivelled up.

“What about my cousins? If you lay a hand on me then they will call for my parents and do something about this,” I said angrily. I mean sure, he was really cute, but I couldn’t let him get away with this.

“Well now, let’s just wipe their memories, shall we?” And with a snap of his fingers, Artemis’ and Athena’s eyes went blank. They had a confused look on their faces, and then they went back into the camp.

“Let’s go Persephone,” Hades whispered into my ear.

He picked me up in his arms and carried me towards the gap in the ground. “Take a good look; this is the last you’ll see of your home.”

I looked up to Mount Olympus and sighed; this is not what my parents wanted for me, I’m sure of it. If they had any inkling ...
