Description "For what you want most in the world, there is a cost that must be paid."

But had I known that this is what the cost would be, I would have abandoned my wish.

I had no desire to see this happen, and neither did my best friend, but we knew that once we were pulled into this then our old life would cease to exist.

Little did we know.

First came the girl, beautiful and stunning, to draw his attention away from me, and to distance us like never before.

He ate up her pretty little lies and eventually I hated him for what he had become.

Then came his sister, eager to help me to get revenge, once for him leaving my life, and twice for taking my girl best friend with him. Never again have me and my girly been close. Never.

I was dying, alone and forgotten in the woods of my youth for months, watching them from a distance, thinking how could this happen to me?

For four months I felt abandoned, like all hope was lost, until she became my friend again and confided in me that she didn't love him like before anymore.

She was through with him and had found love in a new boy, who was with her for two and a half years after that.

So we treaded the space that had come between me and him and found hope.

Hope that we could be friends again.

Hope that everything we once had would be once again.

And it was made so, because of his attempts to renew our forgotten friendship: first with small gestures to asking me to go to the end of the year dance with him.

I forgave him eventually, and that's when the spell was over, my life that had spiralled downward because of that one wish was being restored, with even brighter colours then before.

"For what you want most in the world, there is a cost that must be paid."
