Description
I am from hot summer days,From fabric softener and nice smelling flowers.
I am from the huge backyard and days spent with friends.
Huge and towering, the tree was the best;
They cut it down after I left.
I am from the military family;
Never stayed in one place for long,
Never put down roots.
As if my life slowly evolved, and blossomed,
But never flourished.
I am from Rocket Ship Popsicles and Candy Necklaces;
From Harry Potter, the romance between Bella and Edward.
I am from a Catholic school;
Walking down the hall for church lessons,
Making cotton ball lambs.
I am from the age of technology;
Computers and televisions,
iPods and game systems filled up my afternoons.
Fast cars and four wheelers;
The fast track was more my style.
On my shelf is a photo album;
Spilling old pictures,
All the old friends,
to drift beneath my dreams.
I am from those moments;
snapped before I budded,
as I fall...
from the family tree
