Description
Well...yeah. This fellow scorecard of mine is unlike others scorecards before. The purpose of this scorecard is to express how I'd rate the conditions of watching the shows and making these scorecards. This isn't like "all the cartoons I've reviewed scorecard", it's a deviation to show you guys how I feel about making a scorecard for these shows.
MY REVIEWER HISTORY
I have a history of reviewing. It all began in April 2016, when I began to be interested in cartoons again after 2 years. My first scorecard is on a web series called Battle for Dream Island. Unfortunately, I never, and will ever, show the public my opinions on that show due to skepticism of feedback, the failure to maintain honest opinions about it, and the age of the review felt so poor compared to my present-day knowledge of critiquing media. However, my unpopular opinions on Battle for Dream Island did establish what I have personally; "trash opinions" as described by a select number of pople.
Later in June 2016, I decided to do a scorecard on SpongeBob SquarePants, which includes all the episodes of the show after viewing a lot of scorecards from a bunch of cartoon reviewers. After that, I did one on Pixar, but I never uploaded that to DeviantArt due to it being "not my opinions". Then, I did one on The Loud House, afterward Total Drama and all the way up to Kirby: Right Back at Ya! in August 2016, where I took a break from watching and reviewing cartoons to focus on school. I did plan to watch shows such as Pepper Ann, Lizzie McGuire, Doug, Recess, and Even Stevens, but I never had any time to do them.
Later in Thanksgiving Break 2016, I decided to go back to reviewing cartoons with The Fairly OddParents and Here Comes the Grump, but again, I need to focus on school. When I created the Intranity account on January 13, 2017, I first presented my SpongeBob and Loud House scorecards to the public (which I did their descriptions in December 2016). However, I didn't start reviewing cartoons again until February 5, 2017, where I began reviewing Harvey Beaks, continuing with Here Comes the Grump, the Avatar franchise, and it all goes on and on.
Now wait a minute, why did I make these scorecards earlier than uploading them straight to DeviantArt? Well, early bird catches the worm. Otherwise, I'll feel overwhelmed with a lot of delaying. Plus, since I like scheduling and am quite obsessed with release dates, I gave these scorecards release dates to notify me when to finish and upload them to DeviantArt. You can go to this link where it shows when I first created these scorecards.
Before I joined DeviantArt, there were some ideas that I would come up with for me to utilize to explain some opinions, which would become the ControChoices series where I explain unpopular opinions. Later on, furthermore review series were developed such as my own version of Pros and Cons and the YouTube Review series.
But even if I continued critiquing media for a long time, I ran into issues that put me into a pretty long hiatus. In December 2017, I got stressed out by the criticism I've been getting lately that I had to express why I wasn't posting anything for 2 weeks to the cartoon reviewers community. However, I did try to accept criticism later on where at one point I made a customizable scorecard where people can give feedback about the quality of my scorecards.
The site I was using to watch my shows, Kimcartoon, also put me in tough times because the videos would ultimately freeze at random times. I first constantly experienced this issue late in June 2018, and again on Labor Day. I tried contacting the site about these issues but it says that they're working fine for them and didn't give any instructions on how to fix these issues. Because of this, I left the site the last time I had the error and went off to find other sites to stream media like VRV and Amazon. For new episodes, I decided to use the main websites of the network the current shows aired on. Before Kimcartoon was constantly corrupting for me, I had Netflix and Hulu to watch media so I guess I could say that it's easier for me to watch the planned shows on these websites but they either don't have the show I was looking for or it lost the rights to it.
Unfortunately, that would mean that scorecard production went slower due to my departure from using Kimcartoon. That alongside myself losing interest in cartoons and more towards other subjects like movies, history, etc. made me go into an even longer hiatus than before. I tried making the release dates of my Season 4 scorecards much closer and begin in Summer 2019 so that I can get a headstart, but things didn't turn out as planned. I published this journal explaining why I not only have to cancel the release dates for Season 4, but also semi-retire from DeviantArt for quite a while. Luckily, I kept three scorecards for 2019 as I find their DeviantArt release dates well-suited like have my Angela Anaconda scorecard premiere on its 20th anniversary, which is on a Friday, the day of the week I usually upload my scorecards.
I tried again with Season 4 next year but once again, it failed due to laziness and a ton of distraction. Although Season 4 started for real in 2020, it suffered numerous delays as I neared their release dates, due to too many scorecards (I still wanted to lead the rest of the production numbers into the 100th scorecard that is special and different from the rest), that I took way too long with some of them such as my DuckTales scorecard, and taking a lot of breaks made it look like I wasn't interested in reviewing anymore. However, by how much I liked my reviews, I used that, alongside previewing the future shows I was planning to see, as a motivational tool to reel me into watching a couple more episodes.
However, as time went by, my interests in reviewing got heavily overshadowed by my focus going towards documenting my internet activity throughout next year where I barely uploaded anything that year. Not only that, but that was the moment where my distaste for making scorecards grew due to how longer and more boring it is to producing them. While looking back on Season 4, it felt like such a chore doing most of them, especially the ones I've rated MEH. Not to mention I was not confident in finishing many unwatched shows, with Totally Spies! really showing the lengthy and tedious progress of reviewing a show I have low expectations for. At that point, my internet activity documentation combined with a growing disdain for scorecard making is what killed my motivation in making scorecards and ever since then, I haven't made one.
Wonder how I developed my scorecard style? I got certain ideas from users such as (the title card part of the scorecard where the rating would be placed upon the episode title/screenshot), (the top 10 best and worst lists and big rating system), (the section where you'd usually see the total amount a rating was used, which would turn into rating buttons), and the user who impressed me the most with his scorecards, , especially the user of the ratings "Unwatchable" and "Sublime" where they'd have a certain effect on the title card.
Making scorecards is actually simple for a Photoshop user like me since I had a lot of experience with the program since 2015. The scorecards wouldn't be complete for me personally if they're missing a few things, so I tossed in some new aspects for scorecards like the series logo, the pie chart, a notice and borders to distinguish seasons from one another (although it wasn't used until Season 3).
SCORECARD HISTORY
For this scorecard, which was first released on May 6, 2017, had plenty of changes over time. Of course, there's the addition of new scorecards into this scorecard as time flies, but also updates like the scorecard changing to fit Season 3's style on March 16, 2018. Around that time, due to my annoyance from users peeking into the clouded areas, I hid the title cards of unreleased show scorecards and their rating as a solution. And on April 23, 2018, the purpose for this scorecard had a huge makeover; Instead of it being based on my experience on making the scorecard, it's all about the conditions of watching the show and doing the scorecard in general. A bunch of these shows ended up dropping massively in rating with one common reason being that I was too nice/harsh on some of them. The description wasn't given a makeover to bear the Season 3 layout until May 6, 2018.
To be more creative, I based off all my scorecards into each season because since every scorecard is a review, every cartoon is a TV show and they have seasons, so I decided to include seasons for my scorecards (just like how based his seasons for his Animated Atrocities series).
For those who've been wondering about the premieres and finales of the seasons, the scorecard creation list will show the lineup.
TOP FIVE LIST EXPLANATIONS
Since I will likely receive a bunch of comments asking why I like or dislike making a particular scorecard, especially those that are on the Top 5 lists, I added this list to explain why they're some of my favorite/least-favorite scorecards I've made.
Starting off with the Top 5:
5. Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero - As the first scorecard of Season 3, which gives me as well as the public a clue as to what the future will be for my scorecards, I really enjoyed making this scorecard, particularly with how I tried achieving that "fairness" I was looking for after being too hard and easy in the earlier seasons and how strong I thought my review on the series was, at least for a couple of years ago.
4. SpongeBob SquarePants - As you looked on the scorecard, this is the first scorecard I've made and its large scale of around 500 episodes made it a sight with its one-color title cards contributing to how colorful the scorecard looks. But it's not just how the scorecard's quite a beauty but also how it launched me into being quite popular in the cartoon reviewers community with its unpopular opinions and how it, alongside some other scorecards, inspired other people into making their own scorecards. I'd say my opinions aging is a problem that didn't make me ADORE making it and how constantly I updated old opinions briefly caused a rift among me and my friends.
3. Robotboy - Season 3 was still fairly experimental with opinions and this series showed how much I tried acting honest even if I didn't like the series, I'm not afraid to bring up some episodes I liked from this obscure cartoon. Plus, I was more relaxed with production on the scorecard since I didn't have any date on when I must finish it, just take my time and savour how good or bad the series is, gathered with its flaws entertaining me for just how bad they are as well as me noting a lot of good points, well according to myself.
2. Wander Over Yonder - While I'm aware that this scorecard isn't as popular as some of my others, as well as how surprising this choice is, that's simply because how I got to enjoy the series not just by myself but with people I rarely visit. Specifically, I had fun watching the series with my cousins back in Seattle where we would dance along to the theme song and highlight several moments from the series. Top that up with a colorful rating palette and it shows how that even years back, I was aware that not every show is perfect and will have their flaws.
1. What-a-Cartoon! (or Cartoon Network Pilots) - This was one of my most anticipated scorecards I've made simply because of how unique the concept for this scorecard is as well as all the shorts I wanted to check out from Twelve Forever to even some of the old ones like My Freaky Family. And since I already reviewed some of the shorts/pilots, I can skip some of them with them still fresh in my mind. Moving forward, making this scorecard was pretty fast from the short length of most of the shorts/pilots to the vibrant and perhaps informative scorecard detailing the various shorts Cartoon Network produced as well as how much the network changed over the past 20 years. And finally, the cherry on the top is how successful this scorecard is with a lot of favorites (for my standards) and having much to talk about from the community.
And here is the Top 5 Worst:
5. Jimmy Neutron - Starting off with how I watched it, a strategy I used to complete both shows in order to reach its scheduled release date on DeviantArt was speeding up much of the episodes. This would be unacceptable nowadays for me as I try to avoid rushing my reviews but here, the scorecard itself is pretty forgettable even if it was pretty unpopular with my thoughts on Planet Sheen and the episodes I reviewed didn't appealed enough for me, probably another reason for all the rewinding. And oh yeah, the scorecard aged horribly as my review on Jimmy Neutron was much harsher than what I actually rated it and all of the speeding up made much of my opinions on the scorecard vague and dishonest.
4. Doug - Yeah, this is one of the more recent scorecards I've made and honestly, this show was overall hard to get through. There's the series being slightly inconsistent in quality over a few seasons, which bugs me since I have to take more notes and remove several insignificant ones that barely apply to the series, how boring the cartoon was, which pressured me on how I thought that I won't finish the scorecard due to how uninteresting and bland the series is, and taking the title cards was a chore. The only option I had to watch the series was on YouTube, but then again, not all of the episodes were online and all but two of the title cards were poorly edited in German. This caused me to rely on the site I gave up on years ago, Kimcartoon, where downloading all of the episodes just to take a screenshot of their respective title cards was not only tedious and annoying, but the long steps I had to do while downloading these episodes plus the site's annoying pop-ups bothered me even more. But what really helped my temper towards the making of this scorecard is how close and desperate I was to getting the scorecard out by Christmas and I'm not talking about one long show like Doug, but I've had tons of shows to complete before then. In fact, I was so unconfident that I had to release the Disney portion at a later date, which never happened. That would've stinked as I still have to finish a scorecard I hate doing. If I have something enjoyable to say while making the scorecard, it's that I enjoy reviewing some of the awful aspects like the voice acting.
3. The Angry Beavers - Here we are, a scorecard from what was my least favorite season, which contains pretty much everything I thought was wrong with Season 2: me being too harsh on the series, a lot of pointless comparisons, too much attention away from watching the series, etc. And like my Jimmy Neutron scorecard, I had to rush myself to completing the series at one point and since the series was so forgettable, I had to review the series from what I remembered in my mind rather than take notes (call me stupid, but that's because I wanted to start taking notes in production order, starting with my Phineas & Ferb scorecard) and those thoughts honestly aren't very fresh.
2. Ed, Edd 'n' Eddy - If you've followed me for a while or read enough of this description, then you may have known why I absolutely hate this scorecard, looking back at it. But what made making the scorecard really worth hating for is how controversial it is, not in the "Woah, an unpopular opinion?" sense, but how bad the review is that it ended up getting some backlash for me taking the series way too seriously. And looking back, while a lot of the points I made weren't that bad, some are definitely cringeworthy and misworded like me calling Double D a Mary Sue, alongside much of the unfunny exaggerations I made throughout the review. But back when the scorecard had yet to come out, I ended up overhyping the scorecard, so much so that it bothers me for how much I anticipated viewers for a bad, predictable review that I call "the biggest scorecard I made yet". However, I still hate the series and have thoughts of re-writing the description. In fact, I think I have lightened up a bit regarding my feelings towards making the scorecard as watching a clip after so long made me realize that the harsh ratings kind of makes sense with the awful animation and desperate comedy and sound editing likely in every episode.
1. Welcome to the Wayne - Well...I already talked about why this is my least favorite scorecard, which you can read here . It's the first paragraph of the description, by the way.
Now, I have a question for you viewers; What's your favorite scorecard of mine? I'd love to see another scorecard about my scorecards. You can rate my scorecards in the description or in a deviation. If it's a deviation, you can receive a free favorite!

I'd really love to see a Kirby: Right Back At Ya! scorecard from you. You said it was cancelled because you were scared it wasn't going to get much attention, right? Well, you have a bigger audience now, and with that show being a meme now and all, I could see it being shoehorned into Season 4 (since that one contains a lot of anime apparently).

You can still find it off a Google Image search and the one with the Nick logo is still there. That title card is too small and low-quality so I tried finding one with a better quality image for this scorecard instead.

Johnny Test: It took too long to make and the conditions making the scorecard were pretty bad. I had a few hours to finish the scorecard before I left my home for a 3-day trip, it lagged often and I ended up correcting the size of the title cards over and over again.
Dexter's Laboratory: read the last 2 sentences of the 1st paragraph.
Codename: Kids Next Door: Once again, taking pictures of the episode titles were a big issue, considering that they're all (except Diseasy Does It! and Operation Z.E.R.O.) typed on a black background, making it hard to determine the ratio of the title cards. Also, there was a time where I had to start all over again just because I forgot to save them.
